TERMS OF USE
1. Service provider
- Name: Veszely István Nándor
- Address: Germany, Bavaria, 83714 Miesbach, Frauenschulstraße 27.
- Email: [email protected]
2. Scope
These Terms of Use govern the use of the website quadroplace.com and the Quadro Place game platform offered there. By registering or using the service in any way, the user accepts these terms.
3. Description of the service
- The service provides the online platform for Quadro Place, a two-player strategy board game played in person, including registration, account management, leaderboard functionality and game statistics.
- Quadro Place may only be played in person on a shared device; remote online multiplayer play is not available.
- To protect saved and active game states, the system may allow only one active controlling client per unfinished game at a time and may request takeover confirmation when switching devices.
- The basic functions of the platform are available free of charge. Hard mode is available by subscription (see section 7).
- The provider may change, expand or discontinue platform features for technical, legal or organisational reasons. Users will be informed in advance about material changes.
4. Registration and access data
- Certain functions, such as the leaderboard, stored game statistics and resumed games, require a user account.
- A registered user may start a game that a second player may join anonymously, without registration, provided both players are physically using the same device.
- The user is responsible for keeping access credentials, especially the password, confidential and must not share them with third parties.
- Registration requires a valid email address, username and password.
- By accepting these Terms and the Privacy Notice, the user consents to the provider determining and storing an approximate location based on the IP address on the server. This data is not shared with third parties.
- The user must be at least 16 years old to register, in accordance with Article 8 GDPR under German law. If national law sets a different minimum age, that law applies.
5. Rules of use
The user undertakes not to misuse the service. In particular, the following is prohibited:
- hacking, disrupting or overloading the service, for example through automated mass access, bots or scraping;
- bypassing security mechanisms such as rate limiting or CSRF protection;
- copying or using the source code, content or databases of the site without permission;
- harassing or harming other users.
6. Game data and user content
- Data generated during gameplay, such as results, leaderboard points, statistics and saved positions, is stored to the extent necessary to operate the platform.
- The platform does not allow uploads of user content such as text, images or files; it only processes gameplay-related data.
- The user is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided during registration. Usernames must not contain offensive, unlawful or rights-infringing expressions.
7. Subscription and payment
- Hard mode is available by subscription: EUR 2 per month or EUR 12 per year.
- Payments are processed via Stripe, Inc. As part of the payment flow, Stripe's own terms and privacy rules apply.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of the subscription period unless the user cancels it before renewal.
- The subscription, including cancellation, can be managed inside the logged-in user account through the “Manage subscription” action provided by the Stripe Customer Portal.
- Consumers in the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal under applicable law if the digital service has not yet started. If the user requests immediate performance, the right of withdrawal may be lost.
8. Availability and security
- The provider aims to operate the platform securely and reliably, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
- For security reasons, certain events are logged, such as failed logins and abuse-prevention events. Details are described in the Privacy Notice.
9. Limitation of liability
- The service is provided essentially “as is”. The provider does not warrant error-free operation or a specific level of availability.
- The provider is liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. In cases of slight negligence, liability exists only for breach of essential contractual obligations and is limited to foreseeable, typical damage.
- Liability for injury to life, body or health remains unaffected.
